US Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

DAT Freight & Analytics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month-end close accounting and end-to-end accounts payable operations. This is a hybrid role: strong technical accounting skill (journal entries, reconciliations, GAAP judgment) combined with hands-on AP ownership. DAT operates on a 4-day month-end close, and as part of a publicly traded parent company, the role requires comfort with SOX-aligned controls, documentation, and deadline discipline. The ideal candidate has public accounting or public company experience, NetSuite proficiency, and near-native English fluency for daily real-time collaboration with the Accounting Manager, Senior Manager of Accounting, and a fellow Senior Accountant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own full-cycle month-end close tasks — journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, analysis — within a 4-day close window
• Manage complex intercompany reconciliations, ensuring all balances across subsidiaries are accurate and eliminated properly.
• Assist with AP operations: invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, review of payment runs, timely vendor payments, credit card processing and exception resolution
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support quarterly/annual audit requests
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between the AP sub-ledger and GL
• Maintain accruals and other balance sheet accounts.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen close efficiency and AP controls
• Document accounting processes, and document execution of internal controls to support SOX and audit requirements
• Collaborate directly with the Accounting Manager, Senior Manager of Accounting, and a fellow Senior Accountant on deadlines and reporting standards
• Available for overtime during the monthly close window as needed to meet deadlines

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close ownership
• Public accounting (audit/assurance) or public company accounting experience — required
• Hands-on NetSuite experience — required
• Demonstrated AP operations experience (invoice-to-pay cycle) in addition to general ledger/accounting work
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Fluent, near-native English (written and verbal) — daily real-time communication with U.S. team
• CPA or local equivalent certification a plus

Work Schedule:

• Overlap required with U.S. business hours — 7am–4pm PST
• Overtime expected during the 4-day monthly close
