Role Overview:
Leads the design of user interfaces and user experiences for cutting-edge Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Clinical Management Systems (CMS), and other clinical applications. This role requires deep expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design to create intuitive, accessible, and scalable digital experiences that meet global healthcare standards. They are responsible for guiding the overall design strategy, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring a consistent and compelling user experience across all products.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead user research sessions with stakeholders to gather pain points and opportunities
Map user journeys across different departments and use cases
Create wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs with a focus on clarity, accessibility, and emotional engagement
Ensure interfaces follow intuitive navigation patterns and reduce cognitive overload
Integrate empathy into design, supporting users under stress or time pressure
Champion inclusive design for users with varying levels of tech-savviness
Work closely with product managers, SMEs, engineers, and QA to balance usability with system functionality
Present design concepts to executive stakeholders with clear rationale and empathy-driven storytelling
Develop and maintain a scalable design system for created modules
Continuously gather feedback and iterate based on user behavior and analytics
Job Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years in UI/UX design, preferably in health tech or enterprise SaaS
Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, Miro, and design system libraries
Strong grasp of hospital processes, regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA), and EMR/EHR workflow
Empathy mapping, accessibility design (WCAG), responsive UI, interaction design
