Job Description
Role
As the Technical Manager Thermal Power Project Development, you will serve as the Owner's Engineer and technical lead for our thermal power portfolio. You are responsible for ensuring that our plant design, equipment selection, and construction planning are not only technically sound but also bankable and compliant with Philippine regulations. You will bridge the gap between commercial goals and engineering realities, coordinating with EPC contractors, lenders, and government regulators.
Your Impact:
Engineering Leadership: You will lead the review and approval of all technical studies, including Pre-Feasibility, Detailed Engineering, and Grid Impact Studies, ensuring compliance with ASME, NFPA, IEC, and Grid Codes.
EPC & Contractor Management: You will drive the technical side of the tender process, developing scopes of work, evaluating EPC proposals, and managing contractor performance during design and value engineering phases.
Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure the project meets strict Philippine standards, integrating environmental mitigation measures (air, water, waste) to satisfy DENR (ECC), DOE, and NGCP requirements.
Lender Due Diligence: You will be the primary technical interface for investors and lenders, defending the project's technology selection, heat rates, and reliability philosophy during due diligence.
Project Integration: You will orchestrate the technical interfaces between civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, ensuring seamless integration.
