Job Description

As a Technical Engineer, your responsibilities will include reviewing and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for building construction projects.

You will also be responsible for preparing and validating technical submittals and shop drawings related to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Work Location: Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Engineering process of all Mechanical Systems (Drainage, Water,
  • Fire Fighting, HVAC & LPG systems)
  • Review IFC design against authority compliance.
  • Managing a team of 10 to 15 Draftsmen for shop drawings & As-Built drawings production.
  • Preparations of Engineering Calculations such as ESP, Pump Head, Ventilation, pressurization & Heat load etc.
  • Responsible for MEP Coordination drawings
  • Responsible for MEP Modular drawings production
  • Coordinating with Electrical / Civil / architectural / Structural disciplines engineering team
  • Preparation of material submittals, Engineering Drawings & Calculations etc.
  • Review of material submittals, Engineering Drawings & Calculations etc.
  • Provide & support Authority documentation submissions (Should have in depth knowledge in DM/ DCD / Empower / Trakhees / Dubai South regulations).
  • Review of Final major material procurement Request from Project team for compliance.
  • To develop Shop drawings and detailed ELV drawings as per IFC & project specifications.
  • Technical Support to the Project team with accurate drawings from design to execution & handover.
  • Maintaining detailed Logs for materials, shop drawings & RFI's etc.
  • Preparation of BoQ. & Raising RFI's.
  • Preparation of RFP's & Follow up with procurement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience, working solely with contracting companies on building projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, mechanical standards, and authority regulations.
  • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems.
