Title: Systems Analyst
Location: Makati.
Work set-up : Onsite ( Monday - Friday 8:30 - 6:30)
JOB OBJECTIVE:
- The Systems Analyst is responsible in the formulation of system design output of the program based on the requirement of the department users.
- It shall also develop enhancements of the business application systems / software of the Bank.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops detailed program specifications and logic flow charts to be used in coding and documenting system's software programs.
- Assesses and develops input and output requirements to formulate system limitation of the program and recommends appropriate design to meet the department user's requirements.
- Evaluates and designs existing or proposed systems for comparison of the existing and new functionalities of the system.
- Coordinates with the System Administration Department (SAD) and Data Center Operations Department (DCOD) on the applications programming and operations during deployment based on work instructions.
- Develops internal controls from the system and ensures that programs work together properly.
- Implements project schedules and timetables to ensure quality and timely delivery of the program.
- Prepares test data and scripts for all conditions prior testing.
- Participates in the installation and integration of new system to ensure that the new functionalities will not interrupt the existing system procedures.
- Supervises Programmers (Senior Programmer, Analyst Programmer, Outsourced Programmer) on development efforts and system support requirements.
- Researches and defines functions involving existing systems and programs.
- Ensures the implementation of the standards coding, software development and system documentation set by BASSD Head.
- Coordinates with the ITG Head Data Center Operations Engineers for the monitoring of periodic processing or any special runs that may be required for assigned systems.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Functions as Senior Programmer as needed.
- Adheres to the provisions of the bank's Code of Conduct and Discipline.
- Reports any fraudulent, suspicious acts or unlawful activities / transactions immediately to immediate head to pre-empt potential risks to the bank.
- Attends training and seminars deemed necessary such as company's CORE-PRO, Vision Casting & Culture Building, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) Training and others related to the position.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work station.
- Ensures proper upkeep/maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Uses Unit resources, i.e., utilities, supplies, judiciously.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of any IT related course from a reputable school/university
- At least 3 years from employment in Business Applications and Systems Support Department (BASSD) (if from internal)
- At least 3 years working experience in IT field (at least 2 years as Programmer or equivalent)
- For Senior Systems Analyst, at least 2 years working experience as Systems Analyst
- Must have good logical/analytical skills
- Must have good and fast understanding of system architecture and functionalities
- Must have good understanding of System/software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and processes
