About the Role

The Strategy & Projects role drives end-to-end, high-impact initiatives across Shopee Supermarket by working closely with Marketing, Pricing, Buying, and Operations teams. This role focuses on total-shop performance, identifying growth and profitability opportunities, and translating strategic ideas into structured, executable plans. Acting as a problem-solver and integrator, the role leads ad-hoc projects that cut across functions and require strong analytical, strategic, and stakeholder management skills. The hire will help ensure alignment across teams and accelerate execution of key business priorities.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead ad-hoc, cross-functional projects that support total shop growth and operational efficiency
  • Develop and evaluate strategies across Marketing, Pricing, Buying, and other commercial functions
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify performance gaps, growth opportunities, and optimization levers
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured frameworks, clear hypotheses, and actionable recommendations
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to drive alignment, timelines, and execution of initiatives
  • Track progress and impact of strategic projects, ensuring outcomes are measurable and aligned with business goals
  • Support leadership with strategic insights, business cases, and presentations for decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2+ years of experience in e-commerce, business analytics, financial management, or consulting, with exposure to commercial strategy.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome, provided they have relevant internship experience in the above areas.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Self-starter with a strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for driving growth and impact.
  • E-commerce & Retail Knowledge: Strong understanding of e-commerce or retail business models, including pricing, promotions, assortment, and P&L dynamics.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, build business cases, and quantify impact across functions.
  • Structured Thinking: Experience structuring ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses, frameworks, and actionable workplans.
  • Organization & Project Management: Highly organized, with strong project management skills to manage multiple workstreams and timelines simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar platforms) is a plus.
