The
Warehouse Stock Custodian is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movements, and ensuring proper documentation of all warehouse transactions. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding company assets and supporting efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Control & Monitoring
- Conduct regular physical counts and cycle counts
- Monitor stock levels and report variances
- Ensure proper implementation of FIFO/LIFO (as applicable)
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Receiving & Dispatch Documentation
- Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery receipts
- Ensure accurate recording of stock movements (inbound and outbound)
- Maintain updated bin location and storage records
- Record-Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inventory logs (manual and system-based)
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
- Encode inventory data in Excel or inventory systems
- Monitor slow-moving, damaged, or aging stocks
- System & Data Management
- Operate inventory management software
- Perform accurate data entry and updates
- Assist in basic data analysis for stock trends and reporting
- Compliance & Organization
- Ensure warehouse organization standards are maintained
- Support internal audits and inventory checks
- Maintain cleanliness and proper stock arrangement
Job Requirements
- Senior High School graduate or with Vocational background
- Proven experience in inventory processes, record keeping, and reporting
- Familiarity with inventory management software
- Proficient in basic data encoding and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Willing to work in a warehouse environment
