Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Tax and Compliance Officer to ensure accurate tax filing and full compliance with government regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax reporting, maintaining records, and ensuring adherence to policies set by the Bureau of Internal Revenue and other regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Filing
- Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with all BIR regulations and reportorial requirements
- Monitor tax deadlines and prevent penalties or late filings
Tax Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain and reconcile tax records, schedules, and supporting documents
- Prepare and issue BIR forms (e.g., 2307, 1601, 2550Q)
- Ensure proper documentation for all tax-related transactions
Audit & Regulatory Coordination
- Assist during internal and external audits, including BIR audits
- Respond to tax assessments, notices, and government inquiries
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government agencies
Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and compliance standards
- Support implementation of internal controls to strengthen compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance, or related field
- CPA is an advantage but not required
- At least 2–4 years of experience in tax and compliance
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR processes
- Familiarity or working experience with SAP system is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
