About the Role

Complex property portfolios demand uncompromising financial governance to protect performance, ensure compliance, and preserve long-term asset value. The StaffPropertyAccountant acts as a trusted steward of financial integrity across multiple associations, delivering timely, accurate reporting that enables confident board-level decisions. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
  • CPA license is an advantage but not required
  • Experience in managing staff
  • Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Caliber is a plus)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations for assigned associations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Maintain the general ledger, update the chart of accounts, and monitor accounts for discrepancies
  • Ensure timely completion of accounting processes to support monthly financial statement preparation
  • Set up accounting structures for new associations
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure completeness and audit readiness
  • Identify and resolve accounting issues proactively
  • Collaborate with Community Managers and Boards of Directors when required
