Non Profit Accountant - Fund Accounting

Role Description

As a Non-Profit Accountant specializing in Fund Accounting, you will handle day-to-day financial management tasks such as overseeing fund accounting operations, preparing financial statements, managing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will collaborate with our broader financial team to manage NAV and financial analysis. This is a full-time hybrid role, with the primary location in Occoquan, VA, and work-from-home flexibility available.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining Financial Statements and Net Asset Valuations (NAV)
• Strong analytical and Finance skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or relevant certifications are a plus)
• Prior experience in nonprofit accounting or fund accounting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with financial software tools and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, as well as independently manage responsibilities
