Accountant
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. This role requires strong accounting fundamentals combined with advanced NetSuite proficiency to support our financial operations, month-end close processes, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring both technical accounting expertise and the ability to leverage NetSuite to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and support
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Review and process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper approval workflows
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
- Manage CRM reporting integration and synchronization with NetSuite, ensuring data accuracy across systems
- Create and maintain custom saved searches, reports, and dashboards in NetSuite
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced NetSuite experience, including creating custom saved searches, reports, and workflows
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry preparation
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Subject matter expert with NetSuite – must have
- Experience with CRM systems and system integrations
Schedule & Work Arrangement
- Employment Type: Contractor.
- Hours: Full-time; availability during US business hours required.
- Flexibility: Occasional availability outside standard hours may be required.
Work Arrangement
- Status: Independent contractor; no company-provided equipment.
- Benefits: This role does not include company-provided benefits or paid leave.
- Taxes: Contractor is responsible for their own taxes and statutory contributions.
- Payroll: Payments issued according to the company's standard contractor payroll schedule.
