We are a fast-growing consumer products company operating a portfolio of brands across Amazon (US/CA/UK/EU), Shopify D2C, and major retail (Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx), plus TikTok Shop and marketplace partners such as iHerb. We are looking for a detail-obsessed, proactive bookkeeping accountant who has lived inside the books of an ecommerce business and understands the unique complexity of multi-channel revenue, marketplace settlements, and inventory-heavy COGS.

This is not a generic AP/AR seat. You will own the day-to-day ledger across multiple sales channels and entities, and you will be the person who keeps the numbers clean, timely, and lender-ready every single week. If you like closing loops without being chased, you will do well here.

You'll Own:

• Full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple brands/entities: AP, AR, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.

• Channel-level reconciliation. Reconcile Amazon settlement reports (FBA fees, referral fees, reimbursements, returns, reserves), Shopify payouts, retail/EDI remittances and chargebacks, and TikTok Shop payouts down to the deposit.

• Inventory & COGS accuracy. Maintain accurate COGS by SKU and channel, track landed cost (product + freight + duties), and partner on inventory reconciliation between the 3PL/warehouse systems and the GL.

• Revenue recognition by channel. Ensure gross-to-net is correct — separating gross sales, marketplace fees, refunds, promotions, and shipping income rather than booking net deposits as revenue.

• Lender & compliance deliverables. Prepare recurring reporting on a strict cadence (e.g., weekly borrowing base certificates and monthly GAAP-basis financial packages) for an asset-based lender. On time, accurate, no exceptions.

• Chart of accounts hygiene. Help maintain a clean COA, proper account mapping, and channel/brand-level reporting structure.

• Sales tax & filings support. Coordinate sales tax compliance across states/marketplaces and support the external CPA on income tax prep and annual review/audit.

• Cash flow tracking. Maintain a clear picture of cash position and upcoming obligations; flag issues before they become problems.

• Documentation. Build and maintain SOPs so the close process is repeatable and not locked in one person's head.

Must-Haves:

• 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience, with at least 2 years inside an ecommerce or CPG business (Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Shopify, and/or retail).

• Hands-on experience reconciling Amazon settlements and Shopify/marketplace payouts — you should be able to explain the difference between a deposit and recognized revenue without flinching.

• Strong working knowledge of inventory accounting and COGS in a physical-product business.

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or NetSuite/Xero) and Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, comfort with large reconciliation files).

• Solid grasp of US GAAP fundamentals and accrual accounting.

• Excellent written and spoken English — you will communicate directly with leadership, lenders, and external partners, and clarity matters.

• High proactivity and ownership. You spot the issue, propose the fix, and close it out without needing to be told twice.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with multi-entity / holding-company structures.

• Familiarity with ecommerce/finance tooling (A2X, Dext, Bill.com, expense/spend tools, 3PL systems).

• Experience supporting an asset-based lender / borrowing base reporting process.

• Exposure to international sales (UK/EU VAT, multi-currency) and import/landed-cost accounting (duties, freight, customs).

• Experience supporting an audit or financial due diligence.
