Sr. Data Analyst
We are seeking for a Sr. data analyst to join our growing data science & engineering team.The Sr. Data Analyst should have a strong background in statistics and hands-on experience working with SQL, Python, R, and Excel. Must be skilled in crafting and presenting compelling analytical narratives from client data and must have exceptional communication skills. If you&aposre someone who thrives on digging into data, uncovering hidden insights, and enjoys working with event-based datasets, this is the role for you.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with enterprise clients to solicit and understand their analytical needs and identify opportunities to use analytics to improve their business.
- Design and implement analytical solutions to demonstrate the capabilities of data analytics.
- Create visualizations and data stories to narrate to clients the potential value of data analytics.
- Provide standard training and guidance to clients to ramp-up their data analytics team.
- Provide basic documentation to the client in relation to data analytics initiatives as needed.
- Work with department heads, project managers, management and key stakeholders in developing and prioritizing business and information needs
- Develops clear and well-structured analytical plans and analyzes large data sets
- Develops logical and conceptual data flows that are in support of departmental project requirements
- Provides guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level Data Analysts.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Statistics, Economics or any related degree.
- With at least 5 years experience in the field with strong data and computational focus.
- Intellectual curiosity with willingness and desire to learn a new environment and tools to advance your own knowledge and our product. Technically savvy with experience in a range of the following:
- Programming Languages: SQL, Python, R, Java (Bonus: Scala)
- Cloud Data Platforms: Snowflake (Preferable), Databricks
- Statistical Tools: SPSS, SAS, Matlab
- Machine Learning Tools: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy (Bonus: Knime, RapidMiner)
- Notebooks and Visualization Tools: Streamlit (Preferable), Jupyter, Spark, Tableau, PowerBI
- Willingness and desire to learn new cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of advanced statistical methods, Bayesian learning techniques, pattern recognition, and outlier detection algorithms, and predictive modeling methods.
- Expertise in text mining, NLP methods, information extraction and/or machine learning.
- Strong communication (verbal /written) and listening skills who can present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills to manage software deployments and operation management.
- Can work with a team and is confident to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Intellectual curiosity with willingness and desire to learn a new environment and tools to advance your own knowledge.
- Comfortable in a very fast-paced environment with a strong bias towards action to achieve results.
- High growth companies and/or start-up experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with video analytics or similar domains is a plus.
