Description of position & purpose
The Software Administrator will report directly to the Director and collaborate closely with various development teams to support the infrastructure and UiPath platform of the Automation Center of Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Ensures development teams have required infrastructure, environments and access in place to execute development plans
- Maintains UiPath Platform
- Submits application access requests, onboards users into UiPath platforms (Orchestrator, Automation Hub, Insights, etc.)
- Assists in the automation lifecycle by managing production environments and migrations, ensuring separation of duties
- Supports the whole infrastructure (servers, databases, file shares, robot machines, orchestrator, and application installation) by setting up (with IT) and managing it
- Supports infrastructure operations and strategy, monitoring health and status of deployed machines
- Works with IT to provision automation infrastructure, including provisioning of new robots and associating them to different environments
- Supports escalation requests regarding Infrastructure/Security by working with the vendors and IT
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Quick technical learner – able to pick up sets of responsibilities quickly
- Network protocols and network administration knowledge, network security
- Good knowledge of security as it relates to cloud-based infrastructure
- Knowledge in creating Server Cluster Architectures (Failover Clusters, High Availability systems)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and SQL Server
- Experience with workstation management systems and desktop imaging
- Experience with Web Server technologies, especially IIS
- Prior experience with UiPath Platform (Orchestrator, Automation Hub, etc.) is a plus
- Previous experience with working with RPA (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, OpenSpan) is a plus
- UiPath Infrastructure Engineer Certification is beneficial
- UiPath Implementation Manager Certification is beneficial
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or any relevant degree
- Minimum 4 years experience in software programming and Robotics Process Automation
