Role Description
We are seeking a Site Construction Engineer to join our team, responsible for managing day-to-day site execution of fit-out and general construction works and ensuring delivery in line with project requirements for quality, time, and cost. The role requires strong site coordination, technical understanding, and the ability to manage construction activities efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in fit-out and general construction, be proactive in resolving site issues, and be comfortable working in fast-paced project environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site activities for fit-out and general construction works.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, Program and method statements.
- Review drawings, identify issues, and raise RFIs where required.
- Coordinate with Project Manager client on site and technical matters.
- Plan and monitor short-term programs (4-week lookahead) and track progress.
- Supervise subcontractors and manpower to maintain productivity and sequencing.
- Carry out inspections and ensure quality of workmanship and finishes.
- Coordinate MEP works within fit-out to avoid clashes and delays.
- Prepare method statements, work procedures, and basic site documentation.
- Assist with permits, inspections, and submission of technical documents.
- Identify and resolve site issues to maintain program and quality targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and site regulations.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years experience in fit-out and/or general construction, preferably with a main contractor.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, and sequencing of works.
- Able to read and interpret drawings and resolve site issues independently.
- Experience in site coordination, including MEP integration within fit-out works.
- Familiar with preparation of method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of MS Project or similar is an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills with ability to deal with subcontractors and consultants.
- Organized and able to manage multiple site activities under pressure.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
