As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be the backbone of our cloud infrastructure, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing high-availability environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Orchestration: Design and maintain scalable cloud environments using OpenStack and other open-source virtualization technologies.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive automation by developing and maintaining playbooks and scripts using Ansible, Terraform, and Bash.
- Systems Excellence: Provide Tier 3 support for a diverse OS landscape, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
- Network Integration: Manage virtualized networking components, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and performance across cloud and on-premise assets.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee server provisioning, patch management, and performance tuning for both physical and virtual servers.
- Best Practices: Follow (and help refine) ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management to ensure minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in Systems Administration/Engineering with at least 3+ years focused on Cloud Management.
- Open Source Mastery: Proven track record of deploying and managing OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Cinder).
- Automation Toolkit: Expert-level proficiency in Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure deployment; strong Bash scripting skills for task automation.
- OS Expertise: Deep-dive knowledge of Red Hat (RHEL) and Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, Load Balancing, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to migrate legacy workloads to cloud-native architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA).
- Working knowledge of the ITIL framework (Foundation certification is a plus).
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
