About the Role

We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join a fast-growing global fintech company that's redefining the way payments work. This role will play a key part in ensuring the company's financial health through accurate reporting, efficient processes, and strong internal control

s.You'll work closely with the Controller to maintain compliance with accounting standards, streamline workflows, and support multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations across several global offices. Work hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PMCST

Work set-up: Remote

What you'll do

• Assist with the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen the Company's internal control environment
• Participate in the streamlining of workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Perform vendor trend analysis to ensure completeness of monthly expenses
• Assist in preparing monthly flux analysis
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual account reconciliations, including bank reconciliation
• Review and approve employee expense reimbursements and company credit card transactions
• Assist with audit preparation
• Assist in reviewing and processing accounts payable
• Prepare check run files for review by the Accounting Manager or Controller and process electronic payments andACH
• Maintain vendor records (including retrieving W-9s) and respond to inquiries
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate flow of financial information.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in either public or corporate accounting, or both Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• A working understanding of US GAAP theory and application; bonus if you knowIFRS!
• Experience with NetSuite and consolidated financial reporting for multi-currency, multi-entity, or multinational operations
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
