Senior Piping Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Lead the piping engineering delivery of Plant & Process projects across concept, FEED and detailed design phases.
• Develop and review piping design deliverables including design criteria, line lists, piping specifications, material take-offs, and piping class datasheets.
• Produce and check key piping documents such as P&IDs mark-ups, piping layouts and general arrangements, isometrics, tie-in lists, and piping support/interface requirements.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical/instrumentation and drafting teams to ensure safe, integrated and constructible piping designs.
• Plan and manage piping discipline scope, resourcing and technical governance on projects, including design reviews and ensuring quality to time and budget.
• Support procurement and delivery through technical bid evaluations, vendor package reviews (valves, fittings, specialty items), and resolution of technical queries.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) piping-focused qualifications are highly regarded.
• 10+ years relevant experience in piping engineering for plant and process facilities, ideally within consulting and/or owner-operator environments.
• Background in one or more of: industrial mining, oil & gas, water/wastewater, or energy (renewables/hydrogen).
• Demonstrated capability delivering piping design outputs, performing design reviews/checking, and producing clear technical documentation and reports.
• Experience with piping layout, materials selection, tie-ins, stress and flexibility considerations, and interfaces with supports/structures exposure to stress analysis tools is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead discipline coordination and mentor junior engineers.
