Job Description
MECHANICAL ENGINEER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and preparing mechanical system designs including HVAC, piping, and equipment layouts in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical systems into overall project plans.
- Overseeing on-site mechanical works, monitoring progress, and ensuring installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Conducting inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to verify performance and functionality.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues, providing effective engineering solutions during project execution.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and government requirements.
- Preparing technical reports, documentation, and updating as-built drawings for project records.
- Assisting in cost estimation, budgeting, and sourcing of mechanical materials and equipment.
- Providing technical support during and after project completion, including maintenance recommendations.
- Keeping up to date with advancements in mechanical engineering practices, tools, and standards.
Mechanical Engineer Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Licensing: Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) license from the PRC is an advantage.
Experience: At least 13 years of relevant experience in mechanical works, construction, or engineering projects.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, pumps, piping), and proficiency in design and drafting software.
Soft Skills: Good communication, teamwork, problem-solving ability, and strong attention to detail.
Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with workplace safety practices and mechanical system standards.
Continuous Learning: Eagerness to enhance skills and stay current with industry developments.
