What will you do

In this position, you will join our Water Utilities team, playing an integral role in delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will provide design leadership for medium-sized projects or packages, ensuring excellence in engineering deliverables while mentoring junior engineers and designers.

• Lead civil design for municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, including networks design and pumping systems.

• Apply hydraulic engineering principles to open channel and closed conduit systems.

• Provide engineering guidance and quality assurance across all deliverables generated by junior engineers, designers, and drafters.

• Manage design packages for medium-sized projects or facilities, ensuringtimelyandaccuratedelivery.

• Utilize digital design tools such as Plant 3D, Civil 3D, 12D, AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software for design management and execution.

• Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignmentacross project teams and clients.Key challenges and complexities of role

• Bachelor's degree inCivilEngineering
• At least 7+ years of relevant professional experience

• Experience in design management of medium-sized projects or packages/facilities

• Proventrack recordas civil design lead in municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure

• Expertisein networks design and pumping systems (water & wastewater)

• Solid understanding of hydraulic engineering for open channel and closed conduit systems

• Ability to instruct and mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters, providing guidance and quality assurance

• Experience using Plant 3D, Civil 3D, 12D, AutoCAD, Revit (any of the listed)

• Experience in detailed design and constructionis advantage

• Knowledge of Australian water industry standards and codesis advantage

• Strong internal and external stakeholder communication and management skills
