What will you do

We know the work we do is vital in assisting Aurecon's business globally. Here are the key things you will do to:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical Design lead of municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure

2. Design of pumping systems including hydraulics (ideally including transients, control valves/pressure regulating valves, and non-Newtonian fluids)

3. Design of ancillary systems e.g. odour control, compressed air systems, chemical dosing systems, biogas etc.

4. Development of isometric drawings for piping

6. Development of mechanical general arrangements and standard details

7. Development of mechanical specifications and procurement documentation (e.g. data sheets, scope of works, specifications)

8. Pipe stress analysis and pipe support design

9. Providing input to P&ID and control philosophies

10. Participate in Safe Design activities including HAZOPs

11. Design Management of medium size project or packages / facilities

12. Oversight of junior engineers, designers and drafters and provide engineering and quality assurance as a reviewer across all deliverables generated

What can you bring to the team

Required :

1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

2. Minimum 10 years experience

3. Eligibility for Professional Engineering Chartership (CPEng) with Engineers Australia

4. Experience in oversight of mechanical piping and equipment model development e.g. Plant 3D

5. Experience in Design & Construct project delivery

6. Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising or managing junior engineers in a project delivery setting.

3. Proven experience in mechanical design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

5. Proficiency in piping specifications, stress analysis, and pipe support design.

6. Experience contributing to Plant 3D models and isometric drawing development.

7. Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor liaison, and collaboration skills.

Good to have:

1. EA CPEng (or equivalent)

2. Australian and/or international project experience

3. Experience in Design Management of medium size project or packages/facilities
