JOB OVERVIEW:
The Head of Human Resources will lead the HR function of the Company, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals and compliance with Philippine labor laws and insurance industry regulations. This role is responsible for driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development. Reporting to the CEO and regional HR Director, you will partner with and support the key business stakeholders to drive alignment of HR policies and processes for Howden's operations in Philippines.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support the company's growth in the insurance brokerage sector.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
- Lead HR initiatives that foster a high-performance culture and employee engagement.
2. Talent Acquisition & Development
- Oversee recruitment for the Company including licensed insurance professionals, brokers, and support staff.
- Implement onboarding programs tailored to the insurance industry.
- Design training programs focused on compliance, sales effectiveness, and customer service excellence.
3. Employee Relations & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with DOLE regulations, insurance commission guidelines, and internal policies.
- Ensure timely report preparation and remittance to statutory/government agencies, such as, but not limited to SSS, Philhealth, PAG-IBIG, etc.
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions with fairness and transparency.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as adviser to the Employee Recreation Committee (ERC) and ensure ERC's projects/activities align with the Company's overall goals and embody the Company's People First initiative.
- Lead employee engagement activities, eg., breakfast chats, people survey, etc.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Design and manage competitive compensation packages.
- Administer benefits such as HMO, group life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Oversee the regular Performance Reviews and act as Compensation Planner for the Company.
- Conduct regular benchmarking and internal equity reviews.
5. HR Operations & Reporting
- Maintain Workday (HR system) and ensure accurate employee data management.
- Generate HR analytics and reports for leadership decision-making.
- Maintain and safekeep employee 201 files.
6. Others
As an employee of HIRBPI, you are required to:
- prevent the risk of unauthorized access, modification, or destruction of data assets;
- ensure its confidentiality, integrity, and availability;
- promote a culture of responsible and secure use of information resources among all individuals who access or use the information resources; and
- promote a shared sense of responsibility to protect HIRBPI valuable information assets (systems, networks, and data) from all security threats and risks, by (a)participating in Information Security trainings, (b)implementing and practicing processes, procedures and controls, and (c)reporting any incidents or anomalies, aligned with the Information Security policies and practices of HIRBPI.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within insurance or financial services.
- Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and insurance industry practices.
- Proven experience in strategic HR planning and execution.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with insurance brokers or within the same industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
