Job Description
Manage the design, construction, and maintenance of tunnels for public and private Infrastructure. Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
General requirements
- Carry out detailed design of tunnels and underground structures in soft ground and hard rock,
- Carry out geotechnical and structural analysis for the proposed design
- Prepare submission reports for the detailed design including reports, drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with CAD team to prepare the drawings
- Formulate the preliminary construction methodologies based on geological and site constraints
- Apply safety in design processes on projects.
- Prepare high level technical reports and review medium size project reports
- Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.
- Provide key technical expertise across a broad range of projects.
including TBM, Drill & Blast and Mined Tunnels
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Chartered Civil/ Geotechnical Engineer (MICE or equivalent)
- 5 - 10 years of relevant design experience in geotechnical, tunnels, underground structures and excavation and lateral support (ELS) systems
- Sound knowledge in geotechnical and structural engineering
- Familiar to use geotechnical and structural engineering software including but not limited to PLAXIS, FREW, SAP2000, FLAC etc.
- Proficiency in English
- Strong communication, presentation, leadership, and project management skills.
