Senior Data Engineer (SAS)

We are looking for an experienced SAS Data Engineer to manage and stabilize critical Business As Usual (BAU) operations for a leading bank. The client is currently in a transition phase, modernizing their data estate from legacy on-premise systems to Databricks. In this role, you will own the legacy SAS landscape. You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of data pipelinesfrom ingesting flat files (Core Banking, Lending, Credit) to generating critical regulatory and operational Excel reports. You will act as the custodian of the existing logic, ensuring business continuity while the modernization efforts run in parallel.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in SAS programming and data processing.
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and reporting pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure) is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
