About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Engineer with strong expertise in creating impactful dashboards and orchestrating data pipelines. This role combines data visualization, engineering, and storytelling to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Visualization Design:
- Create visually compelling and informative dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or D3.js.
- Data Analysis:
- Collaborate with data analysts to interpret datasets and present meaningful insights through interactive visualizations.
- Data Extraction, Transformation & Warehousing:
- Build and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF). Design and implement SQL pools and data warehouse schemas.
- User Experience:
- Develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards tailored to stakeholder needs, enabling data-driven decision-making for non-technical users.
- Data Quality:
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data displayed in visualizations by working closely with the data engineering team.
- Storytelling:
- Craft narratives around data visualizations to highlight key insights, trends, and business opportunities.
- Collaboration:
- Partner with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business analysts, and executives to gather requirements and deliver successful projects.
- Research & Innovation:
- Stay current with emerging data visualization trends and tools, recommending improvements to enhance processes and user experience.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Design, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in data visualization or similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar tools.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Medallion Architecture, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and integration with ADLS Gen2.
- Familiarity with Delta Live Tables (DLT) for declarative ETL pipelines.
- Knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
- Experience with CDC (Change Data Capture) integration via ADF or PostgreSQL logical replication.
