Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Develop detailed technical specifications and user stories.
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact analysis for new features or changes.
- Business Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Work closely with LOB stakeholders, Product Managers, and end-users to gather and document business requirements.
- Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis, and feasibility studies to ensure business needs are well-defined.
- Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and User Stories for development and QA teams.
- Collaboration with QA for Testable Requirements
- Ensure requirements are clear, measurable, and testable, reducing ambiguity for QA teams.
- Work with QA teams to define test cases, acceptance criteria, and expected system behavior.
- Participate in requirement walkthroughs with QA teams to clarify scenarios before test case design.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements and test cases to guarantee full validation coverage.
- Process Mapping & Documentation
- Create process flows, data flow diagrams (DFD), and system workflow models to illustrate business processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, change requests, and decision logs.
- Ensure all business processes align with QA governance frameworks established by the TCoE.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Defect Validation
- Support UAT planning, execution, and validation, ensuring test scenarios align with business expectations.
- Assist in defect triaging by providing insights into expected vs. actual system behavior.
- Work with QA teams to validate fixes and ensure resolved defects meet business objectives.
- Collaboration with Key Stakeholders
- QA Teams - Ensure that business and functional requirements align with testing strategies.
- LOB Stakeholders - Validate business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Product Managers - Ensure requirements reflect business priorities and product goals.
- Solution Architects - Align requirements with system capabilities and technical feasibility.
- TCoE Head - Provide regular updates on requirements, test coverage, and defect resolution impact.
- Continuous Improvement & QA Integration in Business Analysis
- Identify process inefficiencies and propose automation or process enhancements in QA workflows.
- Ensure seamless integration of Business Analysis and QA to refine testing methodologies.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years in Business Analysis, System Analysis, or Requirements Engineering.
- Strong experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and UAT support.
- Prior collaboration with QA teams to ensure requirements are testable and traceable.
- Experience working with different stakeholders, Product Managers, and Solution Architects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for defect investigation.
- Leadership & mentoring experience for coaching junior members.
- Knowledgeable in creating BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, Test Scenarios.
