Senior Remote Accountant
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour unpaid break
Job Overview
:Seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and hands-on Senior Accountant with an active CPA license and deep expertise in Construction, Rental, and SaaS accounting. This role covers the entire accounting lifecycle, from transaction categorization to month-end closing. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle accounting ownership
- Accounts Payable (AP) management and documentation
- Client approval workflow oversight
- Payroll administration and compliance
- Accurate transaction processing (including job costing/revenue recognition
- Timely and efficient month-end close with adjusting journal entries
- Daily/weekly reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
- Financial reporting and performance analysis (WIP, deferred revenue, COGS, etc.)
- Adherence to GAAP, construction contract (ASC 606/340), and SaaS revenue standards.
Qualifications):
- Active CPA license (required)
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
Industry & Technical Expertise:
- Expert in Construction, Rental, and SaaS accounting
- Construction: Job costing, percentage-of-completion, WIP schedules
- SaaS: Subscription revenue (ASC 606/deferred revenue), COGS, capitalization of development costs
Skills & Work Ethic:
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and research capability
- Excellent English, both written and spoken
- Adaptable, with a growth mindset and enthusiasm for automation and
AI.Software Proficiencies:
- QuickBooks Online Plus & Advanced (expert level)
- Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Specialized construction/job costing software (Procore, Sage 100 Contractor, or equivalent)
- SaaS/billing platforms (Melio, Bill.com, Ramp, etc.)
