Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Remote

Our finance team plays a critical role in supporting growth initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and system transitions, while ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations. We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is eager to contribute to building scalable financial processes.

Role Overview:

The Senior Staff Accountant will manage accounting processes, support audits, and help structure and streamline finance operations. This role will report to the Finance Lead and collaborate across teams to ensure effective financial protocols. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, adaptable to change, and capable of handling complex financial setups, including system migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Support audits, financial reporting, and internal reviews.
  • Lead organizational cleanup and help structure finance operations for efficiency.
  • Participate in system transitions, including QuickBooks to NetSuite migrations.
  • Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and other growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide accounting insights and resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and Excel-based financial analyses.
  • Contribute to process improvement and build scalable accounting workflows.

Qualifications / Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong accounting foundation with hands-on experience in QuickBooks; NetSuite exposure preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industries, ideally title/escrow or similar sectors.
  • Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and system transitions is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable handling ambiguity and adapting to a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing organizational cleanup and financial structuring tasks.

Job Type: Exclusive Full-time / Independent Contract; 40 hours per week
