As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for participating in the month-end close process, preparing journals in line with US GAAP, conducting balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and report preparation. Experience working with payroll reconciliations would be preferred but not required. You will work as part of the GL team but also spend time working on projects across the finance function, which could include spending time working with finance teams (payroll, company payables, AR/AR).

What Youll Be Doing

  • Prepare month-end journals, including payroll, banking, various accruals, and other company transactions, based on review of supporting reconciliations and schedules.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting under US GAAP (including account analysis & balance sheet reconciliation and preparing inputs to month-end reports, including financial analysis & commentary)
  • Coordinate schedules for fixed asset depreciation and amortizable items
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document asset write-offs
  • Assist with payroll accruals, ensuring accurate reconciliation and addressing discrepancies promptly
  • Participate in financial audits and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Partner with the accounts payable, accounts receivable, company payables, FP&A, and payroll teams to resolve variances or discrepancies
  • Reconcile bank statements, translate them into the appropriate JE, and upload them into our company's accounting system
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Work with multiple key stakeholders to understand acquisition accounting methods and assist with developing standard processes to enable uniformity and quicker and efficient accounting close

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyze and interrogate high volumes of data, as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on a higher-level overview
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate with various levels within the business
  • Ability to develop standard operating procedures
  • Strong experience with financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround time
  • Proactive, self-starter, and with a strong sense of leadership
  • Experience in ERP systems, preferably Workday and Office Connect
  • Must have experience using Quickbooks
  • Must have experience with General Accounting
  • Must have a strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Have experience working for a US or offshore client
