The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of cash accounting and related financial reporting activities. The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations. They are responsible for working with the Team Leader to manager and motivate the team to achieve organizational goals, ensuring the accuracy and quality of work. The role is also involved with training team members. Possessing excellent leadership skills, strong accounting background, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic environment.
Job Description
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
Generate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations for bank accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash balances.
Ensure proper matching of bank transactions with accounting records.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants.
Analyze financial trends to support business decision-making.
Identify unusual transactions or anomalies through data analysis.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
Organized and meticulous in reviewing financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Work autonomously while collaborating effectively with team members and senior leadership.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse teams and client base.
Demonstrate interest in finance, accounting, and business strategy.
Demonstrate strong ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
Screening Criteria
Bachelor's degree in accountancy, accounting, or related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting, including international experience.
Must have a stable employment history.
