Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible in performing and overseeing general accounting activities with a specialized focus on lease accounting under US GAAP, including ASC 842 compliance. This role supports accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Job Description

Prepares and reviews monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for general ledger and lease-related accounts.

Maintains and reconciles lease schedules in compliance with ASC 842, including new leases, modifications, and terminations.

Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Analyzes variances and prepares explanations for fluctuations in financial statements.

Supports internal and external audit requests related to general accounting and lease accounting.

Collaborates with procurement, real estate, and operations teams to ensure proper lease documentation and accounting treatment.

Assists in developing and improving processes related to lease accounting and general ledger management.

Performs other accounting duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience using any ERP and lease accounting systems (e.g., CoStar, LeaseQuery, or similar).

Knowledgeable in US GAAP accounting standards.

Hands-on experience with ASC 842 lease accounting.

Prepares and reconciles journal entries, balance sheet accounts, and supporting schedules.

Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.

Screening Criteria

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience.

Must have stable employment history.
