Job Description

Salesforce Platform Engineer (Admin & Developer)

Position Overview:

You will own and support Salesforce across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, and partner with the business on data, reporting, and improvements. You will keep the platform stable and secure, deliver enhancements quickly, and help reduce reliance on outside vendors by building sustainable internal capability.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform administration and ownership

  • Manage users, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing, and overall security model.
  • Maintain sandboxes, deployments, and a predictable release process.
  • Keep the platform healthy by monitoring performance, data hygiene, and access controls.

Build and enhance (configuration first, code when needed)

  • Build automation using Flow, validation rules, assignment rules, approvals, and record types.
  • Configure Service Cloud case management: queues, routing, SLAs, and Knowledge.
  • Support Sales Cloud processes: lead flow, opportunity stages, pipeline hygiene, and forecasting support.
  • Develop enhancements when required using Apex and Lightning Web Components.

Data, reporting, and governance

  • Own data quality routines: dedupe rules, required fields, and governance practices.
  • Build reports and dashboards for Sales, CX, and Marketing stakeholders.
  • Define metrics and operational scorecards with business partners.

Support and operations

  • Run internal support triage for Salesforce issues and help set internal SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement preventative fixes.
  • Coordinate with Salesforce Support or vendors when escalations are needed.

Delivery and documentation

  • Translate needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage a backlog in Azure DevOps (ADO) and support sprint execution.
  • Produce documentation, admin runbooks, and training materials.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3+ years in Salesforce admin and delivery roles (Salesforce-heavy work, hands-on).
  • Strong Flow skills and strong understanding of Salesforce security and data model basics.
  • Production experience with Service Cloud and Sales Cloud.
  • Familiarity with integrations (APIs or middleware coordination) and data movement concepts.
  • Experience deploying changes from sandbox to production using a repeatable approach.

Preferred:

  • Marketing Cloud familiarity (data extensions, segmentation needs, journeys concepts).
  • Apex and Lightning Web Components experience.
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Admin, Platform Developer I).
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar integration platforms.
  • Experience with NetSuite integrations or ERP-to-CRM data flows.

Why Join Us

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Integral role in a highly stable team within a rapidly growing company.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Emphasis on work-life balance as a core element of our culture.
