The Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to meet specific business needs. This role configures applications, manages integrations, and validates data while working with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions that improve operations, customer experience, and system performance.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Configure and manage the Salesforce platform using point-and-click tools like Process Builder and Flow to automate workflows and business processes.
- Customize Salesforce applications to support business processes, including CRM, customer support, operations automation, sales automation, and marketing automation.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales Operations and end-users to gather requirements, propose solutions, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Configure and customize Salesforce features such as workflows, process builder, validation rules, and data models to optimize functionality.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications using APIs, web services, and middleware tools.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
- Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce implementations, including resolving technical issues, deploying enhancements, and providing ongoing support.
- Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and industry best practices to improve system performance and drive innovation.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and end-users, fostering knowledge sharing and skills development.
- Manage user accounts, profiles, security settings, data integrity, and provide daily support for the Salesforce environment.
- Take ownership of actions, decisions, and results while demonstrating accountability and a continuous improvement mindset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) to six (6) years of experience developing custom Salesforce solutions, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and APIs.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 1 or ability to obtain within one year of employment
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model.
- Skilled in web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Experience configuring Salesforce workflows, process builder, validation rules, and custom objects.
- Experience with Salesforce integration tools and techniques, such as Salesforce Connect, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica).
- Adept at designing scalable, best-practice solutions.
- Experience in change management and governance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with success in analyzing complex business requirements.
- Experience preparing technical documentation.
- Performs effectively in a standard office setting with typical business equipment (PC, copier, telephone, etc.).
