Role Description

The Sales Manager supports the Senior Sales Manager / Senior Sales Manager and the Director of Sales in achieving MICE revenue targets across the SMX Convention Center branches.

This role plays a key part in fostering a high-performance sales environment within the National Sales Office by driving financial results, cultivating a strong and aggressive sales culture, reinforcing excellent customer service standards, and promoting disciplined expense management. The Sales Manager is expected to lead by example and contribute to the overall financial success and market leadership of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or any related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably within MICE, hospitality, events, or convention center operations.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and managing key corporate accounts.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly customer-oriented with strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and expenses effectively.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required by business needs.
