Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Telesales Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of small to mid-size customer accounts across the UK and Middle East, within the Corporate, Academic and Government sectors.

This role sits above a standard telesales position and focuses on higher-value, more complex accounts. It requires strong commercial ownership, the ability to manage renewals and expansion, and the confidence to independently deliver product demonstrations for accounts without dedicated Customer Success Manager support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of small to mid-size customer accounts across the UK and Middle East, with lower volume but higher average contract value.
  • Own the end-to-end renewal process, including pricing discussions, contract scope alignment and negotiation within agreed frameworks.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities through proactive outbound engagement and account insight.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs for accounts without CSM allocation.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of the product portfolio, capabilities and roadmap, and articulate this clearly to customers.
  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders within customer organisations, primarily via phone and virtual meetings.
  • Use usage data and account insights to identify risk, prevent churn and support renewal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Specialists and Pricing teams where available, escalating appropriately for complex scenarios.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and renewal records in Salesforce.
  • Proactively manage customer issues and renewal risk to ensure consistent outcomes across the portfolio.

Other Qualifications/Requirements:

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree holder or completed at least 2 years level in College (no back subjects/incomplete units)
  • Proven experience in telesales, inside sales or B2B account management
  • Experience managing renewals, pricing and contract discussions
  • Confidence delivering product demos and customer presentations
  • Strong understanding of subscription-based or technology-led products
  • Excellent phone-based selling, objection handling and follow-up skills
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent)
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.

  • Desirable

    • Experience selling into Academic, Government or Public Sector customers
    • Exposure to UK or Middle East markets
    • Experience managing accounts without dedicated CSM support
    • Knowledge of data, SaaS or information services
