Detailed Job Description
- Prepares/promotes the Project Construction Safety and Health Program.
- Conducts management, staff, and workers training on environmental, health, and safety practices.
- Ensures the company is aware of and complies with all legislation relating to its duty of care, workplace activities, and the use of its equipment and substances.
- Ensures Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, hard hats, and protective gloves are being used in workplaces according to regulations.
- Ensures that workplaces conform to organizational procedures and safety standards.
- Inspects workplaces and workplace equipment, such as scaffolding to ensure they meet safety regulations and to identify hazards and risks.
- Identifies work areas for potential accidents and health hazards such as toxic fumes and explosive gas-air mixtures and implements appropriate control measures.
- Records and reports hazards, accidents injuries, and health issues within the workplace.
- Assists with investigating accidents and unsafe working conditions, studying possible causes, and recommending remedial action.
- Prepares/promotes implementation of emergency procedures, firefighting procedures, and the use of first aid crews.
- Communicates frequently with management to report on the status of occupational health and safety programs.
Qualifications
- The candidate be a graduate of Any Course.
- Must have at least worked as a Safety Officer in a construction company or a power industry for at least 3 years or more.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess good organizational skills, diligent, and excellent attention to detail.
- With training in COSH, BOSH, and Loss Control Management, and should be aware and knowledgeable of ISO 9001:2015.
- Proficient in all MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of writing safety reports and policies for health and safety.
- Must be willing to work and be assigned in Mauban, Quezon.
- Must be willing to start or join immediately.
- One (1) Project base position is available.
