Job Summary
We are seeking a
Retail Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting within a fast-paced retail environment. The role will manage accounting processes related to
sales, inventory, payables, receivables, and store operations, while ensuring compliance and accuracy of financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and general ledger activities.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review financial statements, management reports, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee accounting transactions related to sales, inventory, purchases, and store operations.
- Monitor and reconcile sales and other retail-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and accounting requirements.
- Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting.
- Strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA is preferred.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably from the Retail industry.
- With managerial or supervisory experience.
- Experience handling retail accounting, inventory, sales reconciliation, or multi-store operations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting standards.
- Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
