Job Summary
We are looking for an
Accounting Operations Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. This role is ideal for candidates with experience managing accounting functions within
large-scale Retail organizations, particularly those with high transaction volumes and multiple business units or stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounting operations, including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documents.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of sales, purchases, inventory, and operating expenses.
- Monitor accounting transactions across stores or business units.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and other regulatory stakeholders.
- Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows.
- Identify accounting risks and implement appropriate controls.
- Manage, coach, and develop the Accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA is preferred.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience with supervisory or managerial exposure.
- Retail industry experience is highly preferred.
- Experience handling high-volume transactions, inventory, sales reconciliation, or multi-location/store accounting is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting standards.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
