Job Summary

We are looking for an Accounting Operations Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. This role is ideal for candidates with experience managing accounting functions within large-scale Retail organizations, particularly those with high transaction volumes and multiple business units or stores.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily accounting operations, including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
Review journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documents.
Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of sales, purchases, inventory, and operating expenses.
Monitor accounting transactions across stores or business units.
Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors and other regulatory stakeholders.
Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows.
Identify accounting risks and implement appropriate controls.
Manage, coach, and develop the Accounting team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
CPA is preferred.
At least 5 years of accounting experience with supervisory or managerial exposure.
Retail industry experience is highly preferred.
Experience handling high-volume transactions, inventory, sales reconciliation, or multi-location/store accounting is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting standards.
Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
