The Resource Manager for the Delivery Center (DC) is responsible for end-to-end workforce planning, resource allocation, and capacity management to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with business priorities. This role plays a critical part in enabling efficient service delivery, cost optimization, and talent development, leveraging data-driven insights and resource management best practices within a shared services / global delivery center environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workforce Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement resource management strategies aligned with business demand, growth plans, and service delivery requirements
- Partner with business leaders to forecast workforce demand and translate into hiring and allocation plans
- Resource Allocation & Optimization
- Manage end-to-end resource allocation across projects, accounts, and service lines to ensure optimal utilization
- Balance supply and demand, minimizing bench time while ensuring delivery readiness
- Drive right-shoring and skill-based allocation across the delivery center
- Capacity & Demand Management
- Monitor resource availability, capacity, and pipeline demand forecasts
- Proactively identify and address capacity gaps, overutilization, or skill shortages
- Support ramp-up and ramp-down planning in line with business requirements
- Utilization & Performance Management
- Track and analyze utilization metrics, productivity, and efficiency levels
- Provide actionable insights to improve resource productivity and cost efficiency
- Establish and monitor KPIs (e.g., utilization rates, fill rates, time-to-deploy)
- Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Delivery Leads, HR, Talent Acquisition, and Operations to align staffing strategies
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning and resourcing decisions
- Tools, Reporting & Analytics
- Implement and manage resource management tools and dashboards for real-time tracking
- Provide data-driven insights and regular reporting on workforce utilization, demand, and capacity trends
- Ensure data accuracy and governance in resource planning systems
- Talent Development & Capability Building
- Support skill mapping, workforce segmentation, and career development planning
- Identify opportunities for upskilling, cross-skilling, and talent mobility within the delivery center
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive process improvements and standardization in resource management practices
- Benchmark against industry standards to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management in support of delivery center operations and business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience with minimum of 5-7 years as a Resource Manager, Workforce Planner, or similar role in a Delivery Center or outsourcing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in workforce management software and tools
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to influence and manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience in workforce planning, forecasting, and capacity management
- Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies is a plus.
