The Role
The Raw Material Planner is responsible for ensuring the reliable supply of materials required to support production operations. This role manages material planning within the ERP/MRP system, translates demand forecasts into purchase and supply plans, and coordinates directly with suppliers to maintain service levels while optimizing inventory.
The planner owns material availability for production, balancing supplier lead times, demand variability, and inventory targets to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess or obsolete materials
Location: Must be in the Philippines – Remote.
Timezone: Monday to Friday: 8AM – 5PM EST / 8PM – 5AM PH Time

Requirements
- 3–5 years of material planning, production planning, or supply planning experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Experience managing multiple SKUs and suppliers in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
Technical Skills
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar) for material planning (Sage X3, NetSuite, SAP Business One, or Infor )
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
Preferred Certifications
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
- Lean or Six Sigma training

Responsibilities
Material Planning & Supply Execution
- Manage material planning within the ERP/MRP system, converting demand forecasts and production schedules into purchase orders and supplier schedules
- Maintain planning parameters including safety stock, reorder points, and lead times to ensure consistent material availability
- Monitor MRP exception messages and proactively resolve supply issues before they impact production
Supplier Coordination
- Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers regarding order placement, confirmations, delivery scheduling, and demand changes
- Track supplier performance including lead time adherence, delivery reliability, and order accuracy
- Expedite or reschedule orders in response to changing production priorities
Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance service levels and working capital objectives
- Monitor aging inventory and slow-moving or obsolete materials, partnering with procurement and operations to mitigate risk
- Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives
Demand & Production Alignment
- Analyze historical usage, forecast trends, and demand patterns to anticipate material requirements
- Support the S&OP / SIOP process by identifying supply risks, long lead time constraints, and capacity limitations
- Communicate potential shortages or delays early to cross-functional stakeholders
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Procurement, Operations, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure materials meet production timelines and specifications
- Support material introductions, supplier transitions, and specification or sourcing changes
