Roles and Responsibilities
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Officer, based in Makati. The Accounting Officer will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing accounting records. The role includes using accounting software to maintain financial data, managing budgets, and performing reconciliations. The Accounting Officer will also collaborate with internal teams to support financial operations and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR filings (VAT, EWT, income tax, percentage tax if applicable)
- Record and reconcile daily sales from POS systems working with store management
- Monitor cash collections and reconcile bank deposits
- Manage accounts payable including suppliers, mall lessors, and contractors
- Assist in inventory accounting and COGS monitoring
- Prepare schedules for internal and external audits
- Coordinate with banks, BIR, and external accountants
- Work with HR Systems for outsourced payroll support
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or consumer businesses
- Knowledgeable in Philippine accounting standards and BIR compliance
- Experience with POS-based sales reconciliation is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Experience with accounting software systems is required
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
Salary & Benefits
- ₱25,000 – ₱30,000 monthly
