Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing

Design and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for complex features
Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing
Conduct cross-browser, cross-platform, and compatibility testing
Identify, document, and track defects using Jira/Azure DevOps
Conduct edge case and negative testing scenarios

Automated Testing

Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon Studio, or Testim
Design test automation frameworks and best practices
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Evaluate and recommend new automation tools

Security Testing

Perform basic security testing: input validation, authentication, authorization checks
Conduct SQL injection, XSS, CSRF testing and test OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
Use security tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) to identify vulnerabilities
Test role-based access control, privilege escalation, and API authentication
Verify data masking, encryption, GDPR/PII compliance
Document security findings with severity ratings and reproduction steps

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 2-3 years in QA with expertise in manual testing of web applications; experience with AI tools or analytics platforms preferred
Security Testing: Proficiency in vulnerability assessment (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF) and tools like Burp Suite
Test Automation: Proven experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon Studio, or Testim; CI/CD integration experience
Tools: Advanced knowledge of Jira for defect management and test documentation
Methodology: Substantive Agile/Scrum experience

Leadership and mentorship experience with junior QA personnel
Understanding of web architectures, APIs, databases, and authentication (OAuth, JWT)
