The QA Analyst ensures internal and external customers requirements are met by conducting software testing, verifying software functionality against product requirements and technical specifications.
Job Description:
The QA Analyst will be responsible for executing (tests) verification, exploratory, regression, expanding automated test suites to ensure product quality across multiple websites and mobile applications. Other types of software testing will encompass smoke, integration, compatibility, UI/UX, API, black box, user acceptance, and performance testing. Will provide software acceptance demonstrations to IT team members. This individual must also be adept at responding to rapid changes in product requirements and testing priorities. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents within Azure DevOps.
Create well-defined test cases using Behavior Driven Development processes.
Estimate and timebox all testing activities and creation of testing tasks.
Manually test end-to-end solutions, customer applications, website UI and functionality, and internal processes supported by database storage tables, REST API services.
Create and execute detailed test plans based on requirements documentation and architecture/data flow diagrams.
Identify, analyze and document software defects (Bugs).
Acquire knowledge and subject matter expertise to increase testing accuracy.
Leverage strong technical skills and software debugging techniques.
Conduct performance testing with other software, hardware, operating systems and network environments.
Define, document, and communicate testing results to team leaders.
Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies.
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience) along with 3+ years testing in a software environment/quality assurance.
Demonstrated experience with (SDLC) best practices and methodologies.
Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) or equivalent certification preferred.
Required Core Technical Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail when performing Manual, ad hoc, and exploratory testing.
Quality Assurance testing techniques used to test software applications (test suites and scripts), anomaly reporting, software analysis, automated software test development, black box and white box testing techniques, data validation, functional and system service testing.
Experience working with defect management and user story management systems.
Knowledge of Web services, DevOps services, and Azure Cloud services.
Familiarity with automation testing tools (Selenium, BrowserStack, Katalon Studio and Postman).
Familiarity with testing Mobile views on Android and iOS devices.
Experience with cross-browser testing, end-to-end visual testing.
Basic understanding of Regression, UI/UX, Integration, Compatibility and Performance testing.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
