Position Summary

The Sr. Coordinator provides direct purchasing support by managing daily procurement activities for materials, including analyzing demand and converting approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders in accordance with standard operating procedures. Coordinates closely with suppliers, requestors, and Business Units to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of purchase requirements. Collaborates with the team to deliver support and contribute to continuous process improvements that enhance efficiency and value.

Job Responsibilities

  • Creates, processes, and manages purchase requisitions and purchase orders within required turnaround times, including obtaining quotations and securing approvals
  • Procures materials to meet customer requirements at optimal cost while coordinating supplier schedules and deliveries
  • Ensures all released POs are confirmed on time and monitors supplier performance (on-time delivery and quality)
  • Reviews and manages open POs, including expediting, pull-ins, push-outs, cancellations, and maintaining accurate ERP system data (e.g., promise dates, pricing, quantities, GL accounts)
  • Analyzes and maintains planning parameters (lot size, lead time, MOQ, demand, period of supply) and collaborates with suppliers and commodity managers for improvements
  • Manages PO updates, including vendor setup, ServiceNow requests, and contract/SOW processes
  • Tracks order confirmations, shipment status, and updates tracking systems through to PO closure, receiving, and invoicing resolution
  • Performs inventory and data analysis to address excess and obsolete materials and support purchasing objectives
  • Proactively resolves issues, manages project changes, and aligns procurement activities with customer delivery requirements
  • Communicates and coordinates effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers, including follow-ups and sending PO documentation as needed
  • Ensures timely handling of assigned tasks, including shared mailbox management and proper archiving of completed work
  • Generates KPI metrics, reports, and trend analyses to support performance tracking and decision-making
  • Implements error-proofing methods and continuously contributes to process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in any 4-year course preferably Engineering/Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Business related discipline
  • 2-3 years Purchasing / Supply Chain / Procurement related experience
  • Fluent and Conversant both in written and verbal English
  • Intermediate MS Excel knowledge is a must - ability to work with pivot tables, charts
  • Intermediate MS PowerPoint knowledge

  • Must have good analytical skills
