Job Description

The Purchasing Asst. shall contribute to companys goal on excellent support service by providing quality goods and services needed on time at the lowest possible cost and at the best possible terms. A Purchasing Asst. builds and maintains relationships with suppliers in order to ensure their organization always has a source for necessary products. He / She also handles administrative duties relating to purchases, including tracking orders and ensuring records are kept up to date

Core Responsibilities

  • Handles administrative duties relating to purchases, including tracking orders and ensuring records are kept up to date.
  • Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers
  • Prepare Purchase Order (P.O.)
  • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Making follow-up calls to confirm orders or delivery dates
  • Monitoring of deliveries and/or inventories
  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good conditions
  • Market Research

Job Qualifications

  • College graduate; preferably Business related course
  • Excellent in oral and written communication
  • With at least 6 months of Purchasing/Procurement experience.
  • Excellent in oral and written communication
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and priorities
  • With strong personality
  • Can conduct market research to identify pricing trends
  • Can negotiate for the better prices and evaluate offers from vendors
