Property Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring the financial health of a portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• :Perform month-end close activities for multiple financial entities
• .Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, mortgage statement verification, accounts receivable, security deposits, accounts payable, prepaids, liabilities, and equity accounts
• .Review monthly income statements to ensure accurate financial reporting
• .Analyze accruals, utility expenses, vendor payments, tenant credits, and account coding
• .Prepare and post journal entries as needed
• .Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• .Support annual audits and collaborate with external auditors
• .Develop and improve accounting procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• .Respond to internal financial inquiries related to assigned properties
• .Monitor cash requirements and coordinate monthly cash transfers
