Property Accountant Lead

Job Summary:

The Property Accountant Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the assigned property portfolio while leading and mentoring the Property Accounting team. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, timely month-end and year-end closing, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
  • Supervise, coach, and monitor the performance and productivity of Property Accountants to ensure accuracy and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end financial closing process and ensure timely preparation of financial reports.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Organize, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of financial records and accounting documentation.
  • Track the achievement of financial and accounting objectives and recommend process improvements where necessary.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with company standards and objectives.
  • Coordinate and support annual financial statement audits, tax audits, and other statutory or regulatory audits.
  • Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, local government requirements, and other applicable accounting and tax laws.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to address accounting concerns and provide financial insights to support business operations.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), taxation, and BIR regulations.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
