Project Development Manager - Renewable Energy

We are seeking a Project Development Manager to lead the identification, development, and preparation of utility-scale renewable energy projects in the Philippines, particularly across solar, wind, and battery storage.

This role will focus on advancing projects toward Ready-to-Build (RTB) and Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) milestones while supporting a broader greenfield development pipeline. The position requires a hands-on professional with strong experience in renewable energy project development, stakeholder engagement, and project management.

The role will cover the full development lifecycle including land acquisition, permitting, due diligence, project structuring, and stakeholder management.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, able to respond quickly to changing conditions, and capable of making sound decisions while navigating complex development challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Project Development & Management

• Collaborate with internal project teams to support the successful development and execution of renewable energy projects.

• Monitor project timelines, identify risks, and address development challenges to ensure project progress.

Pipeline Development

• Identify and evaluate potential utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage opportunities.

• Support activities related to site assessments, land acquisition, and development partnerships.

• Contribute to building and maintaining a strong project development pipeline.

Market Research

• Monitor industry developments, regulatory updates, and market dynamics within the Philippine energy sector.

• Analyze market and competitor activity to support development strategy.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with utility companies, government agencies, landowners, and local stakeholders.

• Work with legal and regulatory teams to support permitting and compliance requirements.

Proposal Development

• Prepare and present project proposals and development plans to internal and external stakeholders.

• Work with technical teams to ensure project feasibility and cost assumptions are aligned.

Negotiation & Contracting

• Support negotiations with landowners and stakeholders for land leases, development agreements, and required permits.

• Manage the contract process from negotiation through execution where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).

• Proven experience in renewable energy project or business development, particularly utility-scale solar or wind projects in the Philippines.

• Demonstrated experience advancing renewable energy projects from origination through permitting stages.

• Strong knowledge of renewable energy project development processes, technical considerations, and regulatory frameworks.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet development timelines.

• Familiarity with Philippine energy policies, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.
