Job Summary: The Production Supervisor oversees and manages daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, and adherence to safety standards. This role is responsible for supervising production staff, optimizing processes, and meeting output targets for polishing, greening, and lens fabrication.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for:
- Supervise daily operations in the polishing, greening, coating and lens fabrication processes.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Monitor machine performance, process parameters, and material usage.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Lead and manage:
- Lead and motivate production operators, ensuring high performance and teamwork.
- Train and mentor employees on manufacturing techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations, attendance tracking, and conflict resolution.
- Assign tasks effectively and adjust workloads based on production priorities.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in optics, semiconductor, or precision fabrication).
Skills
- Strong knowledge of polishing, greening, and lens fabrication processes.
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SAP, and production tracking tools.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision production environment.
Working Conditions
- Production floor-based role with office coordination.
- Requires standing, walking, and monitoring machinery for extended periods.
- May involve occasional weekend or shift work based on production demands.
